sale666
Hello today i bought a new graphic card nvidia 460GTX Golden sample from Gainward since my 9800 GTX died had it for a few years and i replaced it with the new one! However now im having issues with mafia 2... the game slows down a lot my 9800 GTX was better and the actual card comes with the mafia 2 game lol doubt they would put a game it cant handle in! I did researd and 460 is better than the 9800 so i had more research and ended on my psu as on the box it states it needs 2 pci-e 24A 12v connectors so i was searching but cant understand can my psu handle that trough the 2 pci-e connectors that i have or should i use 2 molexes to provide stable power? Some help please i hope this is a driver issue =(... Thank you! my specs: Playing resolution: 1920x1080 AA: 1x AF: Off All else on high Physx: Off
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 2, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 2, 2010 The HX520 should have no problem with one card in that configuration have you ran 3D Mark to see how it compares with other cards?
sale666
I did not yet do that but iv been reasearching online and compairing clocks of gpu and vram! And the card comes WITH THE GAME MAFIA 2! Tbh i dont think they are that dum to put a game in that it just wouldnt work :/... its the Gainward 460GTX Golden sample 1GB edition! (Not the overclocked GLH but still it out powers 9800 GTX) I dont get it... i removed the drivers from before and im now sure its not the psu could it be the drivers just suck lol?.. there was a site with custom made drivers as far as i can remember they where quite good! i downloaded the newest ones from nvidia... or maybe driver leftovers from the 9800? argh =(
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 3, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 3, 2010 You can try a fresh install on another HDD just to test that if you have Windows 7 it will give you a few days un-registered.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 3, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 3, 2010 More then likely just a driver issue but let us know what happens also have you searched for that Video card in Google and see if anyone else is reporting that type of problem? They have no solution on this seems that the card is either having quality control issues or the drivers are bad ill try to get the beta drivers now see if that helps! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 4, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 4, 2010 Definitely sounds like a graphics card or driver related issue, but if all else fails and it looks like there is a good chance that replacing the PSU might resolve the issue, then feel free to Request an RMA. sale666
I have resolved the issue! This is for everyone else who is having the same issue as i did like screen shaking and card not performing too good or even worse than old card! 1. update card bios on the card manu. site 2. (Here was my problem) Update motherboard bios!! If you have a gigabyte board as me do not go on site to download the bios file instead download the @bios utility and use "live update" it will download a bios that is not even listed for download?? why i don't know but it worked like a charm on my GA-M57SLI-S4 board! Thanks for your help RAM GUY !
