HellionGR
Hello. I have bought recently (about a month ago)a brand new kit of 2x2GB CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 rev 2.3 which i currently work on a DFI X58-T3eH6 This kit maxes out on 1.66 v on 195BCLK with my current 920 D0 Proccessor. The problem is i work in dual channel mode and now i wish to upgrade. Unfortunately i can only buy 1 more kit of those(2x2GB CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 ) or a a 2x2GB CMX4GX3M2A1600C8 rev 3.1 kit. Regarding the IC inquiry list, in which the C9 are Elpida Hiper and the C8 are Micron and the fact that my motherboard although excellent spd worker and combatible doesnt read XMP profiles, is there a posibility if i choose to mix c8 with c9 memory to have incombatibility? My goal is to work 200BCLK c8 with 6 GB 3x2(since only 1 of my current ram sticks fails at 196+) or 4x2GB c8 in my current clock speeds Thank you in advance Regards,Dimitris
trackrat
Mixing of RAM rarely works without issues. The only guaranteed solution is one tested, matched kit.
