CdeFabio
As a new user to the 600T and my first build I have a question about the case. I just got it this past weekend and searched the forums but did not find an answer. The directions were not very clear so I am posting here to get advise. It came with multiple small bags of screws which were explained in the documentation except for 2 - one small bag of 8 screws slightly larger than the others and 8 rubber rings which look like they fit the screws- what are these used for? In advance, thanks for your help!
Carlos68
I think the screws and rubber grommets you are refering to are so you can mount 2 x 120mm fans in the top of the case instead of the 200mm fan ?
CdeFabio
Thanks Carlos68! I will just hold on to them incase I change the fan setup at a later date.
Carlos68
Thanks Carlos68! I will just hold on to them incase I change the fan setup at a later date. Its worth doing as the 200mm fans are pretty rubbish, i found the specs on them and they are 800rpm and 76.0cfm the only positive thing about them is that they are quiet. Carlos68
So why do you consider them rubbish? Am going to be getting this case is why I'm wondering..... They don't move enough air, 76.0cfm is very low for a 200mm fan. You can get 120mm fans that move more air but the downside is they are noisy, i have replaced the front fan with a Coolermaster 200mm megaflow (110cfm) and fitted 2 Noctua NF-P12 120mm fans in the roof. Also one of the critisisms of the case in reviews is that the fan controller does nothing but if you attach better fans it is very affective at controllig there speed so its down to the standard 200mm fans which have a very shallow blade pitch which is why they don't move much air. Cheers, Carl P.S it sounds as though i'm critcising the case but other than that its an excellent case :praise:

Okay, yeah didn't notice it was 230 instead of 200, not sure where the extra 30 mm comes into play at... So do you have both top and front fans replaced with those megaflow coolermasters? Just the front one, the problem is the standard 200mm fans are only 20mm thick so to fit a Megaflow which is 30mm thick at the front both HDD caddies have to be removed (i just use one in the secondary fitting place just in front of the PSU). At the top unfortunately it won't fit at all so instead i use 2 Noctua 120mm fans which work really well

Sounds good on the top fans too, I guess theres places there already to mount those sized fans. Whats the problem on the top one that the Megaflow won't fit there? Man, its a shame to have to do all this swapping out to get the case to cool better...

You can mount the 2 x 120mm fans at the top either inside the case or on top of the case under the grill, i mounted mine on top under the grill as it looks neater inside. The problem with mounting a different 200mm at the top is there is a cut out where the fan protrudes through the side of the case into the area where the cables are hidden but unfortunately the slot is only wide enough for the 200mm fan :[pouts:
