djmorgan
Some considering swapping out their H70 fans may find this useful. Changed to 2 x 120mm Exalibur PWM fans to enable setting fan profiles via the mobo or other 3rd party application. Ambient temp 26c Humidity 61% Decibels measured with iPhone app about 1 foot from case Computer off = 41db Computer on = 52db @ 40c measures on core 1 at idle. fan RPM 1340 After 1 hour Prime X64 all cores: Core 1 temp = 61c Fan rpm = 2200 Noise = 58db Comments: at 2200rpm the fans are noisy but not deafening. Under normal running the fans are under 1600rpm and not noticable. Stock fans at same parameters would produce idle temps at about 44c and load at about 74c On balnce I think it is a worthwhile modification [ I exhaust out of the case] David
