llareggub
I've just bought an Asus M4A88TD-M EVO/USB3 AMD 880G chipset motherboard along with a C3 Rev. Phenom II X2 560 3.3 GHz CPU. Currently it is running 1 x 2 Gb generic DDR3-1333 RAM but I would like to upgrade to 2 x 4 Gb DDR3. Are Corsair CMX4GX3M1A1600C7 4Gb DDR3-1600 DIMM's compatible with this motherboard/CPU combo? Thanks.
trackrat
No the CMX4GX3M1A1600C7 RAM is approved for i5/i7 Intel CPUs not AMD CPUs. Below is a current list of AMD Phenom II approved RAM. http://www.corsair.com/products/phenomii/default.aspx From personal experience and that of other AMD users I can recommend the CMP4GX3M2B1600C8. Wired
Get ONE 8 GB kit to ensure compatibility, not 2 unmatched kits. http://www.corsair.com/products/phenomii/default.aspx CMD8GX3M4A1333C7 CMX8GX3M4B1333C9
UNIXUSER
I have two CMX4GX3M1A1600C7 in a AMD system, 1600 7-8-7-21 2T. Works very well. Volts 1.8+ is the magic.
