Corsair AX1200W + ASUS P6X58D-E = Cable/Compatibility issue

Hi!

Now I'm only days from receiving my first hardware set-up for my very first computer build,

but now only days from my actual building session I'm having a hard time on figuring out how

to connect the ''CPU-power connector/-s'' into the right ''8-pin slot''!?

My question is simple:

In which ''8-pin'' slot on the power supply itself should I plug in my ''CPU-power connector''? [Picture below]:

I want to know in which of those 8 ''8-pin power connections'' I should plug my ''CPU-power connector'' into?!

And also if the CORSAIR AX1200W supports the ASUS P6X58D-E X58 motherboard, do to all of the different

ATX standards that are currently available?! Since you guys won't answer my emails, I simply have to post it right here.

I would really appreciate if you could help me out regarding this two issues;

without the ''pre-made sentences'' please, I've had enough of it already!

Best regards

According to that pic it looks like any of the 8 ports on the right, below the 24 pin ATX connector.

Supports the latest ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 standards and is backward compatible with ATX12V 2.2 and ATX12V 2.01 systems

Thank you for your reply.

''Supports the latest ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 standards and is backward compatible with ATX12V 2.2 and ATX12V 2.01 systems''

You're telling me that the ''CORSAIR AX1200W'' support those, still nothing on what the actual motherboard supports?

How do I find that out? The only thing I found was: http://www.asus.se/product.aspx?P_ID...DbB&templete=2

''24-pin ATX Power connector and 8-pin ATX 12V Power connector''!?

Nothing about which ''ATX version'' it actually supports; or does that not matter at all as long as it's ATX standard?

This issue has really got me confused and I feel bad about because I've put more than a month on this issue, still not a 100% answer!?

Thanks in advance

Motherboard manual: 2-35

For a fully configured system, we recommend that you use a power supply unit (PSU) that complies with ATX 12 V Specification 2.0 (or later version) and provides a minimum power of 350W.
Definitely compatible.

Definitely compatible.

Thank you very much sir; you saved me hours and made me 100% confident that my

MOBO will work more than fine with the AX1200W. Thank you.

Best regards
