Wired
Please be patient. They don't even open for 2 more hours. There is NO way to guarantee that 2 kits would work together, especially since they haven't been tested together, nor do they even use the same IC. caa17
Ok... I have just spent two tests in Memtest+ v2.1 and both without errors!!! This night I will spend some more tests....(I will start the test on all night long) Is Memtest+ the correct program for memory testing??? And how many tests are enough to spend to be assured that everything is all right with memory???
Wired
2.1? Don't use that, use Memtest86+ v4.10. Link's on the sidebar. Best to test one stick at a time in the same slot.
caa17
And what sense to test stik of memory separately??? They after all will work all together??? Or I haven't understood something??
Wired
The old version may not test for things the newer version tests for. Also, disable USB legacy mode in your BIOS when testing. It can cause false positives in Memtest.
caa17
"Also, disable USB legacy mode in your BIOS when testing." - It is necessary even if I start the test from a CD? The test refuses to be started from flashcard, I do not know why... How many tests are necessary to spend to be assured that with memory everything is all right? Wired
Yes. It's the setting that can cause false positives, not how you run memtest. 3 loops are good.
