Wired
Please fill in your System Specs as requested during registration. Did you reset your BIOS before swapping memory?

Crusheddream
Changing RAM speeds and timings will cause your DMI data to update not sure about windows check to insure all your RAM is being detected size difference in RAM might trigger a new hardware thing in windows not sure. Again system specs would be very helpful.

Wired
Sounds like either you're reading the SPD or it's set to defaults in your BIOS. How are you looking at the memory settings? Please post a pic of the Memory Tab in CPU-Z.

Wired
If you look at the SPD tab in CPU-Z and go to the last column you'll see the XMP settings. When you enable XMP it should set the memory to those settings automatically. Should be all you need to do, but you may need to OC your CPU to allow it to hit those speeds. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 26, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 26, 2010 It sounds like you may have something on the motherboard that has not had the drivers installed. You may want to check device manager for a yellow exclamation point.
