Halfdead14
I'm getting really high temps both idle and load for my h50. Idle Core Temps 1.301Vcore 47-43C Room temp is 70F or 21C. Core Load temps under LinX 83-79C 1.326Vcore 70f 21c ambient room temp. Using 3k rpm 132cfm high static pressure fan on the rad. Tried reseating no change. Maybe these temps are normal for the h50? kl1054
make sure your pump is plugged into a 3 pin fan header on the motherboard. go into bios, pc health status. what speed is the pump running at? it should be no less than 1400rpm. if it is running at less than 1400 rpm, disable pc smart fan control. Halfdead14
Yes the fan is at max rpm, used some stg-2 tim
kl1054
the preapplied TIM is shin etsu x23, which is pretty much the best TIM available right now what's your cpu clock speed? 1.326 vcore is kinda high. try turning the vcore down to 1.275 and see if your temperatures change. if it still doesn't do it for you, reseat your h50 with a tube of shin etsu x23. make sure it is applied well. also read the sticky in this forum entitled "read this if you are getting high temps with the h50"
Halfdead14
I've done all that, currently using Ic Diamond.
Halfdead14
Added another fan, push/pull setup i tightened the screws 40-44c core temps. It's 70F in this room bought an air conditioner for this room that runs 24/7 with the ac on high. Completely blew out the pc with a compressor, just bought a 250$ air purifier to keep dust down in here. Also @ kl1054 of course they will change temperatures the lower the voltage the lower the output of heat.. It's supposed to be able to handle cooling this though. xfluux
Hey Halfdead, I have the same problem as you. I tried to reseat twice, didnt help much. I have an i7-930 OC'd to 3.8 GHz at 1.28V. and run idle around 45c and while running Intel BurnTest it can get up to 85c. I am looking to RMA this H50 cause it is definitely not working up to its potential or what I thought it would get to. i also have push/pull method exhaust, used AS5, ran it open case with a fan blowing directly at my computer. did not help much. let me know if you have done anything
