I bought a new rig recently, i use MSI Big Bang X Power motherboard and corsair TR3X6G1600C9 memory. The BIOS automatically set the memory clock to 1066 and it runs fine , the timings is 8-8-8-19-1T. But when i set the memory clock to 1600 mhz and the timings to 9-9-9-24-2T, I often get BSOD that says MEMORY_MANAGEMENT:evil::mad:. Im really confused with my system:confused::confused:.So if anyone has a solution how to fix this please tell me...

As noted here and on every other PC hardware forum, overclocking performance is not guaranteed. Corsair memory is actually tested and guaranteed to run at the advertised speed. That however does not mean that all of the other components in your PC - specifically the CPU and memory controller but also the mobo/PSU/Vid, etc. will all run stable at the speed rating that the RAM has actually been tested and confirmed to run at. See my signature for more details.

Nothing is guaranteed when it comes to overclocking a PC beyond it's guaranteed OE specs. Your CPU guaranteed memory speed is 1066 MHz. You might try 1333 MHz. to see if that works with 9-9-9-24 2T.

Just because someone else's hardware might run at 1600 MHz. or faster does not mean that your's or everyone else's will run that fast even if the Corsair RAM that you are using is tested and fully capable of running at 1600 MHz.

You might find the OC info. at the link below helpful and informative in your quest to OC your PC beyond it's intended operating frequencies:

Remember: There are no guarantees in overclocking!

I forgot to mention that the default clock and timing of the RAM is actually 1600 9-9-9-24-2T and it supports XMP, but the BIOS sets it to 1066 8-8-8-19-1T and disabled the XMP. The REAL question is how can i get my RAM to work on it's default clock and timing and enabling XMP WITHOUT making my computer crash ?? And the motherboard specs says it supports 1600 DDR3 memory

Don't waste your time.

Do a cold boot MEMTEST to check for any faulty module.

Get it RMA'd if there is any failed.

I wasted enough time. :D:
