johnmark
I know this is probably old but reading others posts I've yet to find an answer. Finally got around to buying one of those SSD drives but can't find a mounting solution anywhere in town for the top hot swap bay. Bought a 2.5">3.5" converter but as others have said the holes don't align so that the drive sticks out enough to connect to the SATA/Power receptical. Can someone that has a Kingston V series drive point me to a solution that worked for you? I want to mount this drive in the first hot swap bay. johnmark
Doh!! Sure wasted a lot of time and energy only to find out I don't need a bracket! It may not be the most secure but if your SSD drive has screw holes on the bottom of the drive, then just mount it to the two holes on the bottom of the hot plug tray !! You will need some screws with thin heads so the tray doesn't get caught up when removing/installing the tray.

The case comes with countersunk screws of the correct size specifically for this purpose.

My 800D didn't come with screws for SSDs in the trays. But I bought the case last year.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 18, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 18, 2010 Really? My 800D didn't come with screws for SSDs in the trays. But I bought the case last year. I think they may have added these into the 800D fairly recently. If you need some, send and email to ramguy@corsair.com and please give us your contact and shipping information.
