borntowin
Need some advice for CMT6GX3M3A2000C8 Rev 7.1. Can I set the following timing and voltage if I toggle my CPU (17 920) between stock and OC to 3.6GHz 1600 6-8-6-21 1.5v or 1866 7-9-7-24 1.5v Thank you. Yellowbeard
"Probably" is the best answer for the timings but you will likely need 1.65v on the RAM, not 1.5v. We don't test them at the settings you listed so the only way to know for sure is to try.
shadow6491
I am using the recommended timings of 8-9-8-8-24 2T with the Dramm voltage set to 1.66 actual 1.65. I have two sets of this memory installed on the motherboard the best I have been able to clock the memory up to so far is with a of 158 BLK *12 or 1896Mhz. and the CPU at 158 *25 or 3950Mhz Could you please recommend a set of Voltage settings for the Gigabyte Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 mother board? Also is the use of the corsair memory fans necessary? It does get in the way of the CPU Cooler Master V8 heatsink. I also wonder about the conflict of airflow the two are causing. Would a fan blowing across the top of the memory towards the CPU Heat sink be a better option.
