coldturkey
Dear Corsair fans and support I bought a new AX750 just a few weeks ago (ordered 30/08) that is making a weird noise. I recorded it with my mobilephone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7t_v2_iFJkE It's unlisted, shouldn't be a problem. It's making that noise constantly (it started today) and I'm able to here it no matter what. I tried changing sockets and shutting it down but the noise didn't stop until I removed the cord from the PSU! Setup: Corsair 800D -Zalman MFC1-Plus --(CPU) 2x Noctua NF-P12 --3x Corsair 140mm (stock) --3x Noctua NF-P12 --Fractal Design 140mm (MB) Corsair AX750 Gigabyte 790XT-UD4P AMD Phenom II X4 955BE w/ Noctua U12P (w/ 2x NF-P12) XFX 5850BE Asus Xonar Essence STX 3x ******** Platinum 2GB 1600Mhz CL7 WD 1TB, Samsung 1TB, Seagate 500GB Intel X25-M G2 80GB Samsung SH-S223B I've tried removing a few fans thought that it might be the problem because those were the ones I installed last, with no success. Help me out guys, what should I do? PS. The noise is pretty loud, even though it doesn't sound like it in the video.
RoEy
I know what you're going through. Ive got the HX1000, unfortunately, and it too is making that noise now. It was fine for roughly a year but would always buzz when gaming. Then last Friday night it started to buzz when idle. The buzz was very loud and got me concerned. Now it's quieter but I'm left with the same buzz you have now but not always. Wish I'd never bought Corsair psu. They can make very good RAM but I personally think they are dodgy when it comes to PSU. Just google Corsair Buzzing PSU and see how many results you get. I have spent £3000 on my PC and it's all water cooled too. I have the Silverstone TJ07 Case and I can't remove my PSU without stripping my water cooling out. I just don't know what to do as technically my PC is running fine. I can't afford to take it out and send it off to have someone say its not faulty. Think I'll run it until it blows up, sod it. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 11, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 11, 2010 If the noise is loud enough to be bothersome while you are using the system and nothing in this thread helps, then lets get the unit replaced. coldturkey
If the noise is loud enough to be bothersome while you are using the system and nothing in this thread helps, then lets get the unit replaced. Request an RMA Dear Ram Guy, is it possible to forward this request to my purchase place instead because I fear it'd take a while for the PSU to ship from you. / ct
