Hanimor
Hey guys. I am very frustated, I just bought a Corsair nova v128 SSD and there is my problem. I can see the SSD on the bios but when I start windows the SSD just dissapear, is not even in the disk management, I tried lots of sata cables and ports so that's no the problem, and when I reboot the PC the SSD is not in the bios, I have to turn off and turn on the computer and the SSD is back in the bios again. And when the SSD is in the bios, windows takes alot of time to start, when the SSD is not in the bios is alot faster.... is so weird! And i tried to install windows 7 on the SSD, leaving the SSD as the only HDD but when windows ask "where to install" it doesn't show the drive, is just empty! (nothing to select) I tried IDE and AHCI too, i don't know what to do now, any idea????

Hanimor
Already did that, no luck The funny thing is that my windows 7 recognized the SSD at the beginning (I was using IDE, now i tried IDE and AHCI), then I reinstalled windows on the raptor (SATA HDD) and now I dont know what to do because my windows can't see the SSD, I installed all the drivers and windows updates, what I am missing? abacuz
Had the exact same problem with my F120. I got it to work when i connected it to my stationairy drive and formated the SSD as primary. I got the tip from my friend ,and i'm not really sure why you had to do that. But it worked. http://www.intowindows.com/how-to-install-windows-7vista-from-usb-drive-detailed-100-working-guide/ Follow steps 1-4.

I have similar experience with the Nova 64GB and EPOX 8vTAI mainboard, except that mine is NEVER seen in the bios. Tried an RMA... different serial number same model SSD. Still BIOS will NEVER recognize the SSD on any internal SATA port. I am not interested in USB connectivity. Just curious what direction you took this problem? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 14, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 14, 2010 Please run parted magic and secure erase the drive then create a 100 Meg partition then don't format it just create the partition and try the install again. Hanimor
Thank you for your help, I just RMA'd the SSD, they told me it was defective. PD.- I tried several partition manager softwares (booting from CD or USB) and it was impossible to format the drive, I guess it was just defective.
