Yellowbeard
Is there a way to determine accuratley if ur drive has reallocated sectors or not or do we have to wait until newer firmware above 1.1 is released? I have a force series 120gb. Also, it has nothing to do with the firmware. It relates to how the SMART monitoring utilities interpret the SMART data from the drive and also how each different SSD and SSD manufacturer reports this data. hb9uqx
Hi everybody, I bought my F60 last week. I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 with ext4 FS. The disk management, reading the SMART data, reported 416 reallocated sectors. The computer's still working very fast and stable. Is there an error in the measuring or should I bring the disk back to the shop for exchange ? Thanks for your answers. Peter
Wired
As stated, there is no accurate way to determine that.
