eldron
I'd like to know if there is compatibility between the VX450 power supply and the Abit IC-7 motherboard. My OS (Windows XP SP3) is only working on safe mode after I placed the VX450 PSU. Any suggestions are welcome.
Wired
As long as the motheboard is ATX 2.01+ compliant it'll work fine.
eldron
I checked the manual and it says it is ATX12V1. I found two kind of ATX power input connectors on the power supply and the one of them is fitting to the motherboard ATX12V1 plug (the 2 plugs shape are different). Now the system is booting in safe mode only. I don't know if the compatibility problem is behind of this.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 11, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 11, 2010 If you are able to boot up into safe mode then the PSU is definitely compatible. The 3rd party software and drivers would not effect the functionality of the PSU. It sounds like your problem may be software related if you are perfectly stable in safe mode.
