eclpknght
Computer was running just fine last night. i shut down everything, turned off the surge protector, disconected all of the wires, and took the PC outside to clean with a can of compressed air. (no i didnt hold the can upside down and get liquid in the case.) When I came back inside, reconnected all wires, closed case, placed it back in its original spot at my desk, turned on surge protector, hit power button, no response. I have checked: plugged into working outlet-yes 110/220v switch is on 110-yes motherboard lead installed-yes seeing as how i had a company build my computer, and i dont know enough to determine if anything has come loose, but everything seems to still be in order. the pc looks like it did when i shut it down, except for no power. any suggestions or tips on how to get back in the game would be appreciated. the entire computer is almost 1 year old, bought it last year in november. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 12, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 12, 2010 There is no logical explanation that I can think of. Either there is a ground/short somewhere in the way that it was reinstalled, or the PSU was damaged, would be my best guess. I would test the unit in a different system and if it gives you the same problems then lets get the unit replaced! Request an RMA
Mer
The wiring from the front panel to the motherboard may have come loose?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 14, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 14, 2010 The wiring from the front panel to the motherboard may have come loose? Thats a possibility. If something has come loose, or is not plugged in all the way then there could be a short which is preventing the system from powering up.
