Greeziest1
My ax1200 makes a single click sound when my PC shuts off and on as well. So hopefully it is normal.
samer_ab79
Can someone from Corsair confirm if the click sound is normal or not? Thx, Samer.
hellhound604
It is normal. I guess it uses a relay to limit the incoming surge-current, when you first switch it on. Once the capacitors are charged, the relay energises bypassing the inrush-resistor. If you listen carefully, you will hear it switch in after a while after switching on the PSU. It is quite a normal design for large PSU's like this.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 13, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 13, 2010 It is normal. This is accurate, and would be normal for the AX1200.
