garikfox
4x F60's in RAID0. It's the maximum ICH10R can handle I believe. :D: http://www.ghz.is/uploads/images/ghz-is-1283984022-U0.jpg Holy smokes, Yeah youve maxed that out, You shoudlve saved some money and stuck with just 2 F60's, You should be at 1.1GB's not 600MB's, I get almost those scores with just my two F40's
garikfox
then i'll stick with Tony Trim for a little while longer then. I found out that if we use RAID we have to isntall the RST service with windows to enable the Writeback cache, Which I didnt do before, So I installed the latest one I can find with the WIndows service app ver. 9.6.4.1002, And I enabled the write back cache, now im at your scoores more less. So I have come to the conclusion that when we use the RST drivers with RAID the Intel RST service/app is essential, so we can enable the writeback cache, You cant do this with just installing the driver upon OS installation :D: Where did you get the Intel Service/app for 10.0.0.1043 ? Over at stationdrivers the file only contains the driver, Which as we just learned this is only 1/2 of the RAID goodness that we nned

garikfox
If you switch to a 128K stripe it will be alot better, Even Corsair reccomends to use a 128K stripe, So does the whole internet ;):

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 18, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 18, 2010 We did some testing a long time ago with RAID arrays and found that the best performance with 2 SSD drives was with 128K Stripe and 32K Allocation on the format. However, some O.S. cannot support a format of 32K and the next best choice is 4K to keep the partition in alignment. Raid Configuration and Performance! Mythril
Ok no laughing, but do I need to install these drivers ? Am I right in thinking they are some sort of new Intel INF driver update ? If not do I need to install these as well as the Intel INF drivers ? I'm a little confussed  *Edit: I'm running Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, P64 SSD and several other SATA HDD's in my computer. Yellowbeard
I would install these drivers, 10.0.0.1046. They are linked in another post in this section.
Mythril
Ok thanks. I've installed them now so do I also need to install the Intel INF drivers also ? Regards, Mythril.
Synbios
Ok thanks. I've installed them now so do I also need to install the Intel INF drivers also ? Regards, Mythril. Yes you should. The Rapid Storage Technology aka RST drivers from Intel are for the southbridge only. ICH10R, etc. The INF drivers are for the rest of the chipset, including the northbridge.
