CMT6GX3M3A2000C8 won't boot in anything above 1800mhz

hi

 

i have a problem with my new CMT6GX3M3A2000C8 2000mhz kit

 

and i have a EVGA Classified X58 E760 motherboard with a i7 950 cpu

 

now to the problem...

 

in can´t get my pc to boot with the mems set to spec (2000mhz 8-9-8-24 1.65v)

 

it will only boot with 1800mhz 8-9-8-24 1.65v :S

 

i have the newest 74 bios

Are you aware that your i7-950 CPU only officially supports RAM frequencies up to 1066/1333 MHz. ?

Please list all your system specifications in the dropdown menu as requested at registration.

 

Have you tried clearing the CMOS, rebooting, and enabling the XMP profile?

yes i am aware of that, but i know other people who run 2000mhz fine on i7 920 and 930, with the same motherboard as i have :S

Of course some people can run those speeds with their hardware but that doesn't mean every i7 9xx CPU or other hardware components in a system will run stable at that speed. Obviously if all i7 9xx CPUs would run memory OC'd to 2000 MHz. Intel would officially support the higher frequency.
