promithius
Hi all, Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H motherboard, TW3X4G1333C9D 2x2GB sticks. Loads okay with sticks in slot 1+2 and 3+4, but wont post in dual channel in either 1+3 or 2+4. Fans spin for 8 seconds then system shuts down and starts up again after 3 seconds in an endless cycle. Default BIOS settings. Help?
trackrat
Have you tried manually setting 9-9-9-24 2T @ 1.6V in the BIOS? Many BIOS will use 1.5V on DDR3 when set to "auto" which may be too low with speed rated RAM, depending on the RAM. You can also run Memtest 86+ with one stick at a time in each slot. promithius
Ran memtest 3x on each stick, no errors. Upping volts to 1.6v did nothing. I know the motherboard is okay as it was running 4x 2gb sticks a week ago.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 6, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 6, 2010 Have you tried reseating the CPU it sounds like the memory controller may be having an issue.
fmichael
Hello, I've the same problem with my motherboard, ASUS P5G43T-M Pro and Corsair memory (TW3X2G1333C9A). If I put one memory module, the system boot, but with 2 modules (in dual channel, I've only one slot on this MB), the system don't boot. Have you tried reseating the CPU it sounds like the memory controller may be having an issue What do you mean by "reseating" the CPU ? (Sorry, english is not my first language :D: ) Thanks
trackrat
fmichael- Reseating the CPU means to remove the CPU, then re-install the CPU to make sure the CPU is fully seated in the socket so that it has proper electrical contact.

This does sound more like the mobo if it won't run dual channel and the memory tests fine, without errors. Have you checked to see if there is a newer BIOS?
