Mornelithe
Don't want to be a bother, but I'm working on doing some system tweaking and was trying to track down proper timing for my RAM, when I noticed that the RAM I purchased from Newegg, had a different part number in CPU-Z than the package, and description on Newegg shows. (Purchased about a year ago...). I'm just wondering if I should be concerned, should I be going by what CPU-Z says...the package? etc...? I don't want to fry anything (which is why I'm taking baby steps), and scouring as many forums as I can to get as much info about it pre-changes... Thanks very much in advance for taking the time to look at this. Morne
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 5, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 5, 2010 That is correct the Kit part number TW3X4G1600C9DHX, is made with two CM3X2G1600C9DHX modules made from the same lot and tested together on a DUAL channel MB. As noted many times in other threads.
Mornelithe
Man, I hate it when something like that slips by me (seriously, hadn't seen it mentioned on any of the threads I've read). My apologies for wasting time.
