pasty2k2
Link does not work for me... anyone have a mirror available or something? I'm getting a network error 101 (never seen that before!), I think it's my problem though, a few sites don't seem to work with this router for some reason... Any help much appreciated, looking forward to this update and it's good to see that one actually has been made available, restores a little trustworthiness that was beginning to wane - hope SF release the new bits to you soon, for everyone's sake! Thanks again
Wired
If you mean the links in the sticky, they work fine for me. Way too big to attach to a post though.

gio0166
And also to mention why I am desperate to do this update is that I have it in my macbook pro and caused me a lot of trouble first time in the history with a mac to cause corruption in my system... I lost some data and I am not willing to spend 600 Euros to buy another drive and throw this to garbage ..!! Thanks George

garikfox
I can solve that :D: 1. Disable SMART in BIOS 2. Control Panel/Power Options/Edit Plan Settings/Put computer to Sleep = Never 3. Run Command prompt as Admin and type in : powercfg -h off ;):
Synbios
I can solve that :D: 1. Disable SMART in BIOS 2. Control Panel/Power Options/Edit Plan Settings/Put computer to Sleep = Never 3. Run Command prompt as Admin and type in : powercfg -h off ;): This does not really work as even though the problem is exacerbated when the computer goes to sleep or when it does a TRIM command, the drive will still crash when it goes into a low power state, eg. when the computer is idle. Try using the PC to secure erase the drive using Parted Magic. Then, try the update again.
gio0166
Thanks for the advice but I am not willing to spend more time on this. Already lost much time from my work and my data.. and tried with three different pcs. This procedure to my understanding it's problematic. Hope Corsair do it's best to push Sandforce to release stable tool with support for other operating systems. Most of the advanced systems doesn't use windows. They probably already know it. Until then I put my F240 to the clipboard and hope to ton wait for ages.. George
Wired
Curious as to what you mean by "advanced systems"?
Synbios
Most of the advanced systems doesn't use windows. George Not to be so boastful but look at my specs and say it's not an advanced system. Running Windows and love it. ;):
Chromablue
Awesome... I have three F120 drives. None of which are reliable, due to them BSODing my systems (with two different desktop BIOS's, and a laptop). All are FW 1.0. So I read here about the "soon, soon, but we don't know when" firmware update to prevent this... And what's this, FW 1.1a - "doesn't necessarily solve the issue, but some users have experienced more success". Cool. Anything is better than this. So let's install the firmware update tool. CDI sees my drive. Firmware install tool? On either of my desktops? "NO DRIVES FOUND!". Awesome. I'm loving this. Sooooo glad I paid nearly $1,000 for these drives. Land
Hi guys, Report from me that I can` t install 1.1a on my main system(I have it on specs) error "download firmware failed".I` ve tried safe mode, but no luck. Any idea? Am i doing something wrong or what?using win 7 64-bit,no problem with bsod until now!
Heintz.G
@Land, I had the same problem, with the AMD ahci driver, I had to roll back to msahci and it then installed ok. Try that it might work for you aswell.

Shivan
I got "download failed" after booting XP (without AHCI), but it worked with Win7 (with AHCI).
Toughbook
Nary a problem ever since upgrading. Pops right out of Sleep or Hibernation, have not had 1 BSOD at all, actually have never experienced one on this computer. I am willing to bet my savings that there is a common denominator amont the computers with the problems. All have a certain software installed, BIOS setting, Driver or FW version on another device, etc. If Sandforce built something inferior wouldnt it be bad all the time? I am asking because I don't know, not trying to be a smartass:D: I swear there has got to be a common denominator here.
Synbios
Well I don't know why, but I don't think I've seen any reports of the BSOD on a 32bit system. That may be one of the factors. Other than that I have seen the BSOD on sooo many different motherboards and systems. core2duo, i7, xeon, gigabyte, asus, tyan..etc
Pitne
My Update fails every time. Any idea why? I have the force 120GB, and it finds the drive. I hit the check box and hit ~'update' .. then after like 2 minutes it says failed and I get a BSOD Done it twice now. Windows 7 x64bit n/m I had to uninstall the intel drivers

Oldstone
Instead of a reboot, try recycling the power. I still think that garbage collection is at the heart of the matter. Just my unsubstantiated guess.
