Daskid
Hi! I just purchased my Nova 32Gb SSD and I can't seem to install Win7. I have an ASUS UL30A-X5 laptop which has a Mobile Intel® GS45 Express Chipset. I tried looking for the chipset SATA driver but I can't find it. Is there any way of making this SSD to load on Win7 install? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Daskid
Nvm, I got it fixed. Used a XP setup to partition the SSD then ran Win7 installation and detected the drive.
Engmod
If you are still using the partition created by XP, then its in the wrong place. You will need to delete the partition with the win7 dvd and create it new with win7 to get it in the correct place. XP will place the partition on what it thinks is a cylinder boundary. SSD's must have the partition on a 4KB boundary for the internal circuitry to work efficiently.
Daskid
So you mean repartition it once I see in on the HDD list during Win7 install?
Synbios
So you mean repartition it once I see in on the HDD list during Win7 install? Yes..you should be installing win7 on a freshly formatted and clean disk if possible. It doesn't make any sense for there to be winXP files on there or a partition table/boot sector that was created by winXP.

Yes, Then the partition is in the right place. Ok cool. Thanks!
