Scaramoosh
If it don't stop I'm going to RMA tomoz, just wondering if it's a known issue and if there is any way to get it to stop? Just so frigging annyoing that I'll RMA it otherwise. Also if it's a known issue I'll just get a fan cooled heatsink. Thanx.
Synthohol
what is the pumps RPM? its likely to make more noise when less than full voltage is supplied to it.
NoBo
Is the H70 radiator higher or lower than the CPU pump? I'm thinking that there might be some air in the system that's stuck in the pump, causing the noise (if the pump is higher than the radiator)? FYI - My H70 made a clicking noise for a minute or so after I installed it and powered on but it's quiet now. N.
Scaramoosh
Have it sitting like this http://img535.imageshack.us/img535/9110/img0276yl.jpg The noise it is making is this... http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/4517/img0278.mp4 However I pick the heatsink up and turn it upside down and the noise stops and I can hear the water moving. Then that stops after 30 seconds and the noise comes back.
FlawlessSoul
Thats the same sound I had when I had the radiator at the same level as the pump. I placed the radiator on the top vents above the pump, and havnt had it since.
Synthohol
nice pic and vid btw! try putting the rad higher than the block because the pump is the highpoint on your bench and may be trapping air. just put a few books under the rad so its higher than the pump and see if the noise goes away. [O/T btw, can you hear the fandango?]
Scaramoosh
Tried moving it like you said and the noise is still there. It did a little noise of water moving around for awhile and then it came back :\ Guess I'll have to RMA it. Edit: I took it off and gave it a shake and put it back on and still does it. Tried it being under, on top, side to side, waving it about lol. Wont stop the noise so I will defo RMA and just get a heatsink with a fan next time, none of this closed water crap lol. Pyrophoric
Mine did that at first but has now stopped. What keeps freaking me out is something in my new rig is making a sound like dripping water. It sounds like a single drop of water every now and them but I have double checked and there is no leak. I am wondering if it is a coil flexing or something but it's odd that it sounds like a water drop. It's probably paranoia...

Pyrophoric
How do you have yours set up? Exactly like the rig in this video: Edit: Same case, board and it's the H70.
FlawlessSoul
Try rotating it so the pipes are on the radiator at the bottom, or at the side. Should solve the dripping noise.
Pyrophoric
Will do, thanks.
Scaramoosh
Mine is still making the noise so I'm gonna RMA it when I can be bothered, just gonna piss me off that I can't use the PC until they send a new one... too lazy to order a temp heat sink and I threw the AMD one away lol. Best idea? Get a halfway decent heatsink+fan that has multiple CPU mounts. I have one sitting unused that works on AM2 upwards, and LGA775 up to 1366. If any of my other ones die I can easily swap it in while I get the offender RMA'd :)
Jay.Co
Mine's making the same noise buddy which is also concerning... also mine's installed like others iv seen with the 600T case Hoping it was a braking in thing with it been new but still at it over a week now:confused: I'd like to hear more about this...
