mr keys
Hi, Trying to use parted magic gives me an error after burning an ISO image. when booting it says can not find sfq file. I read that if all files are burnt to cd in upper case this will happen. So I selected retain original file names using magic iso but this gave a checksum error at boot. Could anyone assist a newbie with a simple utilty to secure erase my reactor 60's in raid please. Thank you all in advance.

mr keys
Do you have a USB flash drive available? BOOTABLE USB DRIVE WITH PARTED MAGIC Hi, Yes I have a usb Flash drive. May I also add when i run the ISO CD I created on another PC using standard 2 WD Hard disks in raid the program runs ok. Thank you very much for the links. I created the bootable flash drive and modified the menu.lst as per the PDF and copied over Pmagic 5.5 iso Attempting to boot from the USB the following lines appear on the screen. in this exact layout: Launching Grub... Begin PXE Scan... Starting cmain()...(flashing Prompt) The PC then hangs. If i remove the USB stick I get a Grub Prompt

mr keys
Can you use another machine to secure erase the drive? I am sure I could. Is this a test you would like me to perform? I really just wanted the option of performing a secure erase every 6 months to ensure optimum performance of my SSD.

mr keys
Hi, I would rather not remove my drives from the PC to perform a secure erase. Could you suggest another solution on how to erase my R60's or why the USB Boot stick hangs and displays... Launching Grub... Begin PXE Scan... Starting cmain()...(flashing Prompt) The PC then hangs.
