kgwaugh
I have been around computers for years, but now have here on my desk a new Nova Series 128 gb. I currently run two 1 tb drives as a RAID 1. I want to do the usual---install the SSD as boot drive, WIN 7, etc., and use the two others for most programs and storage. I have found many articles on optimizing an SSD, but no simple article on initial installation/configuration. Do I simply install it, designate it as Boot, install WIN 7 and go from there? Thanks for any and all comments! Gene Elgin, illinois USA
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 2, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 2, 2010 Yes just install Windows 7 normally and select the drive, there in no special steps need with Windows 7 it will see that it is a SSD and align it properly. Just you may need to delete any partitions on the drive before the install.
