Yarzie
Hi there, I have two machines doing the same thing both brand new components self built by me. All settings failsafe I built one machine and it had this issue it would also reboot and sometimes loose the hard drive in the bios requiring power reset. On one occassion it stayed alive long enough to load windows 7 then would reboot at the login page. It continues to do this. I have tried reseating everything and its the same. No beeps just shuts down and restarts. I thought it was odd and unboxed the second set of components and built the second machine and its exactly the same. I haven't mixed any components. I have turned the DRAM voltage up to 1.64 vols as the recommended was 1.65 but the only other setting was 1.66 in the bios so I erred on the side of caution Any suggestions for setting up the bios or other suggestions would be gladly received
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 28, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 28, 2010 Have you tried just one module at a time or one memory slot at a time to see if you can narrow it down to a single module? As for settings everything should be ok at defaults.
Yarzie
Hi there, Tried all four memory modules in all four slots one at a time in both boards same result. Tried all four memory modules in each board together same result. It'll stay alive for about 3 minutes before rebooting
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 28, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 28, 2010 Sounds like it may be overheating, have you checked your processor temperature at all in bios?
Yarzie
Hi there, CPU Temp OK. Just ripped the 400W PSU out of my old workstation and the machine has been up and running for 2 hours. looks like I have two dodgy PSUs. I haven't tried it in the other unit yet. Thought I would soak test this one for another hour or so.
