05Track
I'm sure this has been posted before, but I cant seem to find any definitive answer through search. Will a HX620W have enough juice to power a GTX480? I'm currently running a GTX 280 OC2 and am just planning to upgrade this only. Nothing fancy with the rest of my system, just 2 HD's and mildly clocked C2D. Thanks.
hypermog
HardOCP says you should get the HX750 for a single GTX
uscavman
I think the GTX 480 eats up about 42 amps per card.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 27, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 27, 2010 According to Nvidia they say the maximum power that the GTX480 can use is 250w. http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_gtx_480_us.html Click specifications and scroll down to "Maximum Graphics Card Power (W)." 42 Amps would be the recommendation for an entire system running with one of the cards. 42A x 12v = 504 watts.
