Shinobi8
My F60 worked for about 2 hours then packed it in. If I power off and back on then the F60 would reappear but I cannot see the drive when I try to reinstall Windows 7. When I have it in a Sata dock on a working machine the F60 isnt visable on the device management so I think my drive is a gonner.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 27, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 27, 2010 Are you using it through a Bay adapter or directly connected to the MB And please run Crystal Disk Info and post a screen shot of the drive. Shinobi8
I had directly connected to the mb and was able to install Windows 7 64bit and disabled hibernation and sleep. Left the room and came back 20 minutes time and it was at the bios screen and from then onwards the when the mb would try to detect the f60 it would take longer than usual and then prompt me to press F1 to continue then prompt that there is no operating system. I tried it on my sata dock connected via esata on another Windows 7 machine which detected the drive before I installed Windows but now the F60 is not visible (tried to rescan drive but no joy). So I take it the drive has failed?
