trackrat
Yes the CMG4GX3M2B1600C7 will work fine with your system as long as there are no clearance issues with your CPU heatsink. Any of the approved Phenom II memory on the Corsair link below will work for your system. http://www.corsair.com/products/phenomii/default.aspx
fishlock
Thanks i was worried because although i know it will work with my phenom II i wondered if it is compatible with the crosshair III motherboard so it should be ok with this too? fishlock
also on the link you provide it talks about green heatsink fins where as the CMG4GX3M2B1600C7 are red god its confusing.
trackrat
Don't be confused about the green heatsink fins. Corsair has a variety of different colored heatsinks. The specific memory that you listed has the red. The link I posted shows Corsair's current list of tested and approved Phenom II RAM though there are other modules that have already been tested and shipped to suppliers. Corsair needs to improve their official website and keep it updated to reduce the confusion. FWIW, you can often find more Corsair product info. on the Newegg website if you search by part number.
