Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 25, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 25, 2010 Was this a fresh install of the O. S. on this SSD or did you image it from another HDD?

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 27, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 27, 2010 That is most likely why you are not seeing that in the registry, do a fresh install on another drive then copy the setting and information to this configuration. mark501
Can't find any msahci entry in my WinXP registry either. A clean Windows XP Home install. Are you sure this works for Windows XP RAM guy? From what I can tell the msahci driver seems to be exclusive to Vista/7 while XP needs a specific AHCI driver designed for the motherboard or chipset in use. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 28, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 28, 2010 Do you have the option in BIOS for AHCI?
mark501
I have an option for AHCI in bios but when I enable it just reboots as soon as Windows starts to load. Likely because I dont have a AHCI driver installed. I have the AHCI driver from Asus but seems its virtually impossible to install unless I slipstream it on to a XP setup CD and reinstall Windows
