cjacs
Please anyone - how do i test this unit away from the pc? All cables are black, so cannot do the test on the support forum refering to connecting green cable. Should the fan start up even if not connected to a pc?? Please help
Wired
There is no UK number. The only phone number is in the USA and is listed on the website. Brief PSU Functionality Test Look at the pic there. The -5v line should have no cable in it. Count from there and you can find the black / green cables in question. Yellowbeard
Should the fan start up even if not connected to a pc?? Please help No, the fan will not start when the PSU is not connected to a PSU unless you manually turn on the PSU as shown in the paperclip test. Please describe what issue you are having, describe what steps you have taken in your installation and troubleshooting, and also fill in your system specifications as requested at registration. We'll get you sorted out.

cjacs
Thanks for your reply. I followed the instructions to install the PSU as per the manual - double checked all connections. I connected the power, switched on - no power. will fill out the specs when i get a minute but dont see how that will help as I previously had a 750 watt PSU from another supplier and it worked perfectly. same hardware. I have installed PSU's before
