nitesoul
soo,,,,i couldn't do the 'put block in, turn clockwise' step. i must have screwed the plate thing too tight, so i loosened some screws on it, and made it too loose that the cpu block with the paste lost contact with cpu...(paste was on most of the cpu and a bit on the cpu tightening mechanism piece on the motherboard, i managed to get the block on it in without doing the clockwise rotation, (put the block underneath the plate then tightened the plate)....should i re apply paste and redo it or do you think this will not be a problem? thank you! Defender2803
Depends...if it went all over the place you might want to clean it off and put on a fresh dab. I usually put on some...test the spread. And do it again. I take pictures to remind myself which heat sink did what with what TIM.
