mcmillenbryan
I've been looking all over the forums and see quite a few problems with the CMT6GX3M3A2000C8 and the Asus Rampage III Extreme. When I try to load the X.M.P. option in bios my computer simply will not boot. I updated my Bios to the newest 1005 which one post stated fixed the issue and it did not for me. I've wondering what the exact setting are that I'd need to set to at least get 2000mhz. This board has ALOT of options so I need some pretty specific instructions. Not sure what the issue is here, would simply like to get these to perform as they should. They work fine at lower setting like 1866mhz.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 27, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 27, 2011 That is not uncommon with the 940-960 CPU's they may not be able to run much above DDR1600-DDR1866, You can try and enable XMP and see what it is setting the CPU/QPI Voltage to and don't go over about 1.45 Volts and you can enable XMP and set the memory frequency manually to DDR1600 and see if its more stable.
