blownapart
First, forgive me if this has been mentioned before. I obtained advertised speeds on my F120 after switching from the SATA3 Marvell 9128 controller to the ICH10 SATA2 controller on my mobo. I hope this helps somebody, quite the simple fix in my case. Also, does anybody know if Marvell has gotten their chit together on this chip, is there a driver that makes the 9128 sing with an SSD? Found info here Synopsis: I went from 170MB/s read on the Marvell to ~275MB/s read on the ICH10 controller. I was rather pleased

Will switch back to Marvell to see if this resolves issue. Add me to the list of ppl waiting for a firmware update...
Yellowbeard
Make sure you have the most recent BIOS from Gigabyte. They had to issue some BETA BIOS' to address some SSD issues. GB Beta BIOS Link
blownapart
Thanks Beard, although I didn't see a beta for my p55-ud4p (rev 1) on your link. I'm on bios F10 now and will try F13 (most recent) tonight. I'm also using Intel INF 9.6.0.1014 fwiw. I have not experienced the disappearing drive issue but last night was the 1st night on the ICH10. I had zero issue other than performance loss on the Marvell chip.
