Windows XP w X32 Drive - Is there a Wiper Tool

Hi,

Re - Extreme Series 32gig SSD Performance on Windows XP

I apologize in advance if this subject matter has already been answered elsewhere or that my following comments may seem somewhat provocative.

I am a little frustrated with diminishing performance on my Extreme Series 32GIG SSD.

Please, there are vast numbers of us using your SSD's in Windows XP systems and need a way to clean up (TRIM) the drives and to keep them running fast and smooth. I still don't see any Corsair authored management tools on your site to help me here.

Questions:

1 - Do you have a set of utilities I can use to manage my X32 SSD.

2 - Is there something like a "wiper" I can schedule each night to clean up the drive.

3 - Is there a complete paper that describes all steps for preparation / configuration and use in a Win XP system.

I just took my X32 out of service after 6 months of use because it degraded so much. I don't have the time or the inclination to rehab the drive every 3-6 months, (flash the firmware, erase/reimage, etc) especially given it's in a remote data center.

I am very enthusiastic about your products, but, seems to need constant attention to keep the drives running smoothly.

I am not trying to sound harsh, it's just frustration. Can you help me please.

Very much appreciate your response in advance.

I'm guessing he's just running it in a colo for simple server purposes. Mine is in an academic environment, not really enterprise but still need close to 100% uptime regardless. Does Corsair offer any enterprise SSD solutions? I didn't see any on the website and when I was browsing I wanted a Corsair drive at the time, it seemed like the Force was the fastest so I figured it was top of the line.

aside: does Corsair have any 8 GB DDR3 modules? preferably 1333Mhz. the RAM section is so hard to navigate, there are too many product lines and it's confusing.

Personally I'd rather get two smaller / cheaper HDDs for the same cost and slap them into RAID 1. They don't make any enterprise drives.

The Memory Finder should make it pretty easy. They don't make 8 GB single modules, but they do make 8 GB kits.

Good idea about the RAID array, I should probably just do that than bother with SSDs, thanks.

I didn't see the memory finder before but I'm kinda bummed they don't have 8GB single modules.

There are only a few MB chipsets that would see that high of density memory module but if they were available at this time the cost would be 1000-1600+ USD per module right now. I don't think the masses would be willing to pay that much.
