andreaplanet
I have the same RAM and Board but on cold boot only 10GB are detected instead of 12GB. If I switch off the PC after half a second (or longer) while cold booting then the next boot will recognize all 12GB. So I don't think it's a heat issue. Memtest+ 4.0 does not report any error and the system runs fine, never had a crash (2 months old). I tried to set manually the voltage using various values, I tried to use XMP, I tried with the latest BIOS (XMP settings changed somewhat with the latest BIOS) but still I have to do boot twice to recognize all 12GB. Unfortunately I can just make one test x day because all subsequent boots will read 12GB. So, my question is, which are the optimal settings for this RAM, Board (no overclocking)? After enabling the XMP Profile what settings do you have in your BIOS?
cgramer
The only setting I changed was to enable XMP (other than switching off the splash screen on boot).
andreaplanet
Yes, I was asking which where the voltage settings of your XMP profile. After a BIOS update the voltage settings where different (using XMP) but in both cases at cold boot only 10GB are seen. So I was interested to know which voltage settings worked for your case. Did you leave everything else as auto?
cgramer
I believe I did leave everything else set to Auto, but I'm not at home now, so I'll have to check tonight. I'll also check the voltage settings, etc.
