shadowphax
I currently have the following system • Asus P5N32-E Sli • Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4Ghz 2GB from 2 x 1Gb Corsair XMS 2 Twin2x2048-6400 800Mhz DDR2 Memory 5-5-5-12 • Windows XP Pro (32 bit) • 2 x Nvidia 8800gt Sli • ******** Toughpower 750W PSU I am wanting to go up to 4Gb in order to replace the operating system with Windows 7. The only memory I can find to add another 2Gb of memory is the same Corsair Twin 2x2048-6400 but the latency is 5-5-5-18. Would this 5-5-5-18 memory work OK with my existing 5-5-5-12 memory? The forums seem to says that dropping the memory speed to 667Mhz may help as shown here Would it be better to simply replace the existing 2Gb of memory with a new set totalling 4Gb? Thanks for any help.
