Cryo123
When i remove 2GB from the kit the PC runs fine... but with the 2x2GB kit the PC freezes randomly and reset is the only way out ... Any advice on that ? Anything that may help ? The problems started right away when i first tried to install windows... The PC is 2 days old... Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 22, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 22, 2010 What happens when you run the other module that you took out by itself?
Cryo123
It seemed that the memory block is the problem... Even that they are 2 in the kit 1 of em isn't working ... With memory diagnostics/test tools no problems are detected... But with one of the memory blocks the comp runs just fine and with the other one it freezes randomly and never runs more than 30 mins... Since the memory tests don't detect problems on the defective block i don't know if the warranty will replace it...
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 23, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 23, 2010 What do you mean one of the memory blocks is not working? Do you mean memory slots?
Cryo123
I''ve figured it out... The memory was defective... No test was able to detect problems on it but in the 2x2GB kit one of the memories is working as normal and the other one is causing my PC to freeze randomly... And since the memory tests didn't detect a problem i can't replace it with the warranty ... Guess i'l just have to buy a new one... Since i can't get another 2GB of the same memory i wonder if i get a kingmax or super talent and if it will work together with the 2GB of corsair i have left ? Sorry for my english :P
Wired
You can definitely RMA the memory using the link on the left, no need to buy new memory.
