Oldstone
I am starting a new thread because I have a variation on some of the other problems listed here but in a different combination. I have 2 Force60 ssds that I was trying to create a Raid0 array with. One was already used as a functioning windows7 drive. The array was created with no problem but Windows7 would not install to the array. The first reboot in the setup process would end up in blue screen. So I deleted the array in the AMD raid utility, then used Partition Magic to secure erase the drives, thinking of returning to the working one drive install. However, after the secure erase, the drives do not appear in the raid utility. They also do not register in the boot list in the bios, but if I set the bios to IDE mode they appear. Windows will not install to them, but they appear in Windows 7 disk manager under Raid single drive mode and all the common disk functions appear normal. They even can be put into a Raid array with the RaidXpert utility. The array is invisible to the bios as well and windows will not install to it. I have other drives with regular disks that appear normally in the raid bios and utility. Moving the drives around on the connectors does not work. My question is, will a firmware upgrade (I have version 1.0) do anything for me? Before the secure erase I had SMART data. Now I do not. Or am I now in RMA land?
