ididntgetit
I don't get it, why are there smal stoppers so it won't slide the screws in to the 775 posistion? If it is supposed to slide to all 3 positions (1366, 1156 and 775) why make it impossible to slide it to the 775 position?

S1C_S1D
I have just had a look at my A70, as i am yet to install it in my PC and i cant work out how to slide the pins to the 775 position. My setup will be 1366 so it does not affect me, but i see your problem and at the moment agree.
S1C_S1D
hold up...........I got a old socket 775 board and the the 1156 position fits through the holes fine. try that? I think socket 1156 and 775 are the same.
Defender2803
I think you should twist it 90 degrees and see if it drops in the holes.
ididntgetit
hold up...........I got a old socket 775 board and the the 1156 position fits through the holes fine. try that? I think socket 1156 and 775 are the same. They are indeed the same. So I got it installed now. Thanks for the help. I still don't get why they draw it like 3 different settings in the manual though, so I guess ididntgetit :sunglasse

Yellowbeard
Corsair, Great Products slightly iffy instructions. Because of this thread, I pulled the A series mounting bracket off my test rig. I don't see where the confusion is. If you look closely at the back plate, each mounting post is made to slide to 3 positions. Logically, and as it is denoted on the plate itself, these positions are 1366, 1156, and 775. There are 3 corresponding notches for each post to slide into and they are of course in the same order as from 1366 down to 775 is a progressively smaller mounting hole pattern. hold up...........I got a old socket 775 board and the the 1156 position fits through the holes fine. try that? I think socket 1156 and 775 are the same. Not correct. As seen in this picture, the 3 positions have 3 notches, indicated by the arrows. The area marked by the red "X" is NOT a mounting position. The 3 numbered positions are circled. I'm not sure how it could be any more simple.
Defender2803
I'm not sure how it could be any more simple. Put 3 brackets in the box for Intel...:p: Of course you would need four or more brackets next year...
