italianbastard
Hello Today I decided to install +4 gb to my system (added to the 4 Gb I already had) and install windows 7 64 Bit. Everything runs fine with 4GB and Installation went through great. Trouble starts when I add the additional 4GB, the system will hang regularly (windows Xp and Windows 7, both of them) and occasionally also show a Blue Screen with codes and stop/debug actions. I tried resetting the bios but it won't resolve the problem. I have the suspect that one of the 2gb sticks is defective but I have been told that it also may be a voltge Issue.... Is it possible that I might have a wrong voltaged set up in the Bios (bios is v 1.4 as the 1.5 will crash sometimes with my audiocard) ??
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 21, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 21, 2010 Load the optimized defaults and set the memory voltage to 1.9v. Then set the memory timings to 5-5-5-18-2T and the memory frequency to 667MHz. You may want to test each kit individually if you continue to have issues.
