khogar
Hello, Since the very first time I started my new computer (bought 4 months ago) after Windows logo screen on startup it shows a blue screen and restarts, and that goes on and on until you Shut it down on the Windows logo screen with the button, then start again and it works fine for the rest of the day. If you leave the computer turned off for a night or a longer while, same thing happens. I've tried to reinstall windows, flashed BIOS with newest "Improved compatibility with certain memory" version, ran Memtest for 12 hours, but nothing helped, and memtest showed no errors. I just checked the memory support list on Asus website and this particular memory I have is not in the list. Could memory be causing this? And what actions should I take? Thank you in advance. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 22, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 22, 2010 Those modules should be fine on that board. Have you tired testing each module one at a time to see if you can narrow it down to a single module causing the issue?
khogar
Hi again, I've just checked the modules, and the code is different from the one shown by CPU-Z (if that makes any difference), the code is: CMV4GX3M2A1333C9. I tried to follow what you said and seem to have found the faulty module. With the other one it works perfectly, but just as I install the faulty one - the blue screen starts appearing.
