BloodlessDog
Hi good evening... Maybe a month ago I got a great hx850 but something out of the box got my eye right away. The heatshrink of all of the hardwired cables have silicon on them and the heatshrink is not very good sticked to the cables... I wish to know why, I got it from newegg totally new, Also... I would like to know... Is it better to use the hardwired cables for a gtx 480 or use the modular ones? Thank you very much-
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 20, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 20, 2010 Looks like some of the adhesive from the cable sleeving was pushed out the end of the sleeve. It should not cause any problems or cause any concern. Performance and compatibility with your graphics card should be no different whether you are using the modular cables of the fixed ones. Normally you would want to use the fixed PCIE cables for your first card, and then the modular cables for each additional card.
