Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 20, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 20, 2010 BIOS and software readings can be fairly inaccurate. You might try updating the BIOS and using some different software to measure the voltages to see if the results are consistent. The only way to get a definite reading is to measure the rail with a volt meter or PSU tester. If the 12v rail were really at 14v or higher, its unlikely that the system would be stable, there are circuits built into the PSU which would tell it to shut down if something were to go drastically out of spec.
