cupton50
I just put in two more 1 gig sticks of Corsair ram. The new stuff is twin2x2048-6400, (2 sticks 1 gig each PC6400 with 800 fsb. The stuff that is in is also Corsair XMS the only difference is the older (1 year) has larger heat sinks. Here is the problem. The computer reboots on its on and has the BSOD with this code PFN_LIST_CORRUPT I have 4 slots for ram. The system would not even boot up if the new ram was put in the other 2 slots. And yes I put them in pairs. open slot, ram, open slot, ram. The way it is in now is old 1 gig, new 1gig, old 1 gig, new 1gig. Any ideas?
trackrat
It's unlikely that the memory is all the same Revision. If it is not, it will not likely work together. Check the Rev. on each module to see if they are the same.
Wired
Thread moved from the RULES area. Please pay attention to the forum listings next time. There's no guarantee they'll work together even if they are the same version. That'll help, but it's not guaranteed. Lower the memory speed, see if that helps. Also test one stick at a time in the same slot using Memtest86+ v4.10.
cupton50
Sorry about posting in the wrong area. What does the error code PFN_LIST_CORRUPT mean? Thanks
