JakeChicago
Hi everyone.. So, I installed the H70 with "dual" 120mm x 38mm, 2750 RPM REXUS fans. My temps are...extremely high! I'm running an Intel Core i7 950. What gives??? I've cycled the computer at least 20 times or so over the past 24 hours. Just wondering if these temps are normal? I had a thermalright Venemous X with the same fans and my i7 930 at 4.25GHz with 1.39 on the Vcore never got passed 75c-79c with Prime95. Any suggestions?? BCLK: 167 Multi: 24 Speed: 4.0GHz VCore: 1.375 (Prime95) Core 0: 89c Core 1: 86c Core 2: 85c Core 3: 80c
Jerryt
1) Four mounting screws for CPU block tightened completely or just lightly? 2) Fans facing each other with no air flow? 3) Pump not running at full 12 volts because the BIOS fan control was never disabled? I would recommend connecting directly to 4 pin molex connector. Be aware that the pump rpm should be reported at about 1400, when workng correctly. I attached a copy of my thermals, plus, lowered the voltage even further on the VCore; still pretty high temps. 1) The screws are tight as can be without damaging the screws 2) Fans are blowing air in "push-pull" configuration; massive airflow from rear of case. 3)Pump RPM is report 1400+ RPM's in BIOS. Defender2803
Redo the thermal paste. Either too much or too little. What is your airflow like? Lots in lots out? Ambient temperature?
Jerryt
Are the hoses coming off the top of the radiator? sides or bottom is better.

OK..I'll try that..that was my last resort, because I remember when I installed the H50 about a year ago, my temps magically dropped by 10-15 degrees about a week later. I'm assuming the thermal paste needed some time to "cure." Your thoughts?

Sounds like everything else is right unless you just aren't seating right or the TIM isn't working right. Yes...some types of TIM need time to cure. AS5 needs 200 to 400 hours. Some take a lot less and some are instant. I prefer instant. You could see that drop again of 10-15C and that might put you in a little better temp range. I reseated the CPU cooler and...wa-la! I increased the Vcore and speed as well..4.2GHz and 1.376Vcore..Decent temps now..=) Thanks for all the support guys and gals!
