Z Overlord
I know there was this issue me and many others had with Intel CPU's and Corsair HX series psu's. By having your cpu downclock on idle (an Intel feature), it'd cause this loud and irritating buzz noise from the psu. So we had to turn it off, and have our cpu's at full frequency (4GHz i7 920 24/7 :[pouts:) It gets HOT, and summers are bad  Do newer releases fix this? I have an HX850w

Z Overlord
This is the issue: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=85166 I don't like how in that thread they're just like "Just deal with it". Like I'm sorta afraid to buy another Corsair product ya know?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 15, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 15, 2010 If the issue were purely related to the way our PSUs are built it would be an easy fix, however there are many different factors which can cause the PSU to buzz, and if you look around, there is no one particular brand or model of PSU that is prone to buzzing, but its widespread among many high efficiency PSUs. Here is a thread which goes over a few of the possible causes and solutions that we have found: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=85166 If the fixes here do not resolve the problem, then we can try replacing the unit for you. If you have the same problems with a replacement unit, then the next thing to try would be to replace the motherboard.
