1333MHz memory in 1066MHz rated Mac Pro 4,1

Has anyone actually (or know of someone) who successfully but 1333MHz memory (3 x 4GB or 4 x 4GB) in a 2009 Mac Pro (mine is a single 2.66GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon "Nehalem" processor W3540). Reading several discussions, it seems that no damage will occur and it either won't run or it will clock down to 1066 !!!!! TRUE or FALSE ??????

I was able to get 2 kits -- Corsair XMS3, DDR3, 1333MHz 4GB X 4 (16BG total) 9-9-9-24 1.5V UNBUFFERED, 240PIN, NON-ECC, SDRAM (# CMX8GX3M2A1333C9) at FRYs for $200 each but I do not want to open the packages unless I get firm opinion that it will work.

My logic at this price: I can use them now in the 4,1 and hold on to the memory for my next MP running the faster 1333MHz memory. HELP, I only have 10 days to return the memory!!!

MP 4,1 Mac OS X (10.6.4) 2.66 1 quad core
